How our grandmother’s little jewellery box in a village courtyard became the reason Lyza exists.

Every brand has a beginning. Ours began with a tin box.

Our grandmother kept her jewellery in an old tin box wrapped in a cotton dupatta. There wasn't much: a thin chain, a pair of festival earrings, a ring from her mother. But on the days she opened it, our whole courtyard would gather around.

Every piece had a story. The chain she wore when she first came to the village as a bride. The earrings she never took off during the year of the good harvest. The ring that had travelled across three generations of women in our family.
